In 2008, Neurosoft celebrated its 14th anniversary. This year has proven to be the dawn of a new era in the history of the company, which is a result of: the dedication to the pioneer strategy; the capitalization of the RnD process and the corresponding committed efforts by the company’s management and employees.
Consequently, Neurosoft has posted record revenues and profits irrespective of the international financial crisis.
Within the scope of “Corporate Social Responsibility”, the company has decided to invest back into the community by collaborating with and supporting the mission of the “SOS Children’s Villages” in Greece.
…”Growing up, most of us learn to take some things for granted. Being part of a family is one of those things. Yet there are children who never get to experience that one “simple thing”. The SOS Children’s Villages offer these children a home, friends, brothers, someone who cares for their well being, their education, their fun. They offer them a family…” (T. Michos – Blue #26, Autumn 2008)
The “SOS Children’s Villages" (established in 1975) is a charity association comprising of a village in Vari (Attica), a village in Thessaloniki and a 3rd village, under construction, in Alexandroupoli. This charity organization is managing and coordinating 22 “satellite” foster homes for more than 100 children, between the ages of 2 - 15 and in need of a supportive family environment.
Within the realm of a constructive and practical association, Neurosoft’s welfare initiative includes the financing of computer lessons for the SOS Children’s Villages inmates, the update of their computer hardware and software systems in Athens and the provision of the necessary technological infrastructure for the computer laboratories in Thessaloniki and Alexandroupoli.
We present below in detail our funding plan:
• December 2008: fund the 12-month computer lessons in Athens and Thessaloniki. Task already completed.
• January – March 2009: equip the computer laboratory in Thessaloniki with the necessary technological infrastructure.
• April – July 2009: upgrade the existing computer systems of the Headquarters and the computer lab in Athens.
• August – December 2009: equip the computer lab in Alexandroupoli and finance the computer lessons.
Our vision is to establish a long-term relationship with the SOS Children’s Villages foundation and to extend this support, by the same means, to the “Youth Homes”. Neurosoft’s ultimate target is to run further educational programs that will introduce the fostered teens to the computer sciences and provide them with the opportunity to potentially establish a career in this field.
